Samhita Suripeddi
My name is Samhita Suripeddi, and I’m a junior at Northwood High School. I joined Stories Empowered because I feel that it is important to listen to and learn from a variety of stories to better understand the world we live in, and how each of us fits in. One person can only see and experience so much. In my free time, I love to bake new recipes, daydream, read books, and converse with anyone and everyone.

Grace Baek
My name is Grace Baek and I’m a junior at Portola High School. Growing up as an Asian American, I was always accustomed to both the Korean and American culture prevalent in my life. However, I only recently understood the importance of bridging the two, and the fact that cultures are so intertwined in our community, despite the failure to address such connections. As a student passionate about both activism and story-telling, I decided that Stories Empowered something I wanted to be a part of. Through this organization, I hope to bring more attention to diverse stories in our community and shine light on underrepresented issues through different perspectives.
